Dr. P. Meera did her B.Sc. (1999-2002) and M.Sc. (2002-2004) in Chemistry in Kuntavai Naachiaar Govt. Arts College and Rajah Serfoji Govt. College, Thanjavur, respectively, both affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Trichy. After clearing CSIR-NET (2003) she pursued her doctoral research at the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune and received Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Pune in the year 2010. After post-doctoral research in the New Mexico State University, USA, she joined SASTRA in the year 2010. She has been engaged in Govt. sponsored as well as industrial research projects and her research areas include Electrochemical Imaging, Electrophoretic protein separation, Waste water treatment and Microbial Fuel Cells
