Sounds Pronunciation Part-II

Course Description

This course provides an overview of nonlinear audio production and sound culture with an emphasis on integration with other narrative formats. Sound is one of the most profound ways to convey ideas, sensations, and information and, since it complements and enhances visual experience rather than excluding it, it can be one of the most flexible too. In this introductorylevel course, students gain familiarity with the basic tools and techniques of nonlinear audio production.

Course Objective

This course provides an overview of sound as a form of communication and art practice. Sound differs from any other visual mediums because of its non-physical and time based form. Designing great sounds begins by LISTENING to sounds and environments and thinking about how to use sound expressively to create dramatic intensity and emotional participation. Good sound designs will lead listeners to SEE, FEEL and INTERACT with content.
